The Book Buddies Reading Program pairs teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in grades 1st, 2nd, 3rd (Little Buddies) to assist young students who may be struggling with reading.

In-person programs, and Zoom classes, all require advanced registration, and are limited to Central Islip Public Library cardholders.
The firefighters of the Central Islip Fire Department will be here to meet you, show you some of their safety equipment, take pictures, and teach you about fire prevention and safety!
